Part of the stadium that will host the 2014 World Cup opener in Brazil collapsed on Wednesday, causing significant damage and killing three people, authorities said.
The accident could delay the delivery of the stadium in Sao Paulo by FIFA’s December deadline to have all 12 venues ready. Work was immediately halted at the Itaquerao Stadium, which was practically completed before the collapse.
Television images showed a huge metal structure buckled atop the stadium, destroying part of the stands in the east side of the venue. A LED panel installed outside the venue also was hit. (Photo: Nelson Antoine/The Associated Press)
Today I overheard someone saying, “Native Hispanic people shouldn’t be allowed to take the Spanish SAT II because it’s just not fair”, and I completely AGREE. And people born in America shouldn’t be allowed to take the English SAT II and people who are good at maths shouldn’t be allowed to take the Math SAT. SO BASICALLY WE ALL SHOULDN’T TAKE THE SAT SUBJECT TESTS THAT WE’RE GOOD AT. CHEERS.
The UK… I finally get it now
One.) Not all terrorists are Arabic like how not all whites living in America is truly “American”. Some are Italian, some are British, and some are German since even when “America” was starting out in the colonies, the land was divided amongst the French, the Spaniards, and the British. Actually if you didn’t know from 2nd grade history.. the first people living in America were the native Americans. Native. And we terrorized them and pushed them out of the country for our own benefits.
Two.) Miss America of 2014 was born and raised in New York. She is also of the Indian background. Just letting everyone know, she is an official American citizen. She is considered American.
Three.) America is considered a melting pot, so there are many many different cultures and differences that you must accept.
America claims that this land will accept anyone and everyone (because we’re a free country)… let’s all think about that for a moment.
Hi, I’m Byron the guy behind this blog Betype, some months ago I made a campaign noting the little annoying things of life like dropping your icecream, youtube restriction, stepping on a lego, etc. compared to the disease: Cancer.
Why I did this? To catch the attention of young public that isn’t aware of Cancer, my mom is suffering of Uthering Cancer Stage 3 (his surgery was a week ago). And I needed money for her treatment.
Today a couple of months later, I will do a reprint of the T-shirt of cookie that doesn’t fit the glass of milk. I lot of you ask me if I still giving this t-shirts in exchange for a donation, I know this is the time to do the reprint.
But I need your help:
To make the reprint posible I need to order at least 25 T-shirt because thats the minimum order accepted by the printer. So I need your help pre-ordering your T-shirt and spreading the word. To make this thing posible.
The minimum goal is to pre-order 25 days in 5 days!. Your paypal or credit card won’t be charged if the goal isn’t achieved. If I met the goal the T-shirts will be a reality and everyone will be happy! :) Even my mom that is healing his surgery.
The amount of the donation is $24. for the T-shirt including free shipping inside the US. Please pre-order or t-shirt at the bottom of this website:
If you can’t help me buying the t-shirt you will help a lot spreading the word.!
"1984 wasn’t meant to be an instruction manual."
"The NRA says that guns don’t hurt people. People hurt people. But I think the gun helps, you know?"
Quote by Eddie Izzard (my favorite comedian), monologue from”Dressed to Kill”
Every time I turn on the news, the radio… The first thing that I hear is; “Gunman…killed…injured…10 remain in the hospital…”.
And this just really. Really. Makes my day.
I’ve experienced only (so far) 3 Code Red lockdowns during school hours because of an armed man. Also, with the increase of gun terror, growing in the states, it makes me wonder; should people be allowed to own guns?
Of course, America is the “land of the free” so therefore, we have the right to defend our rights and to protect ourselves and our property. If an intruder came into my house and he/ she was shooting at my family, then I would want an opportunity to protect myself. Even if I try to call the police, I will probably have to let them know what my name is, where I live and what is going on. If the police officers take any more than 5 minutes to arrive at my house, it might already be too late. Many mass shooters, and criminals who intend to hurt other citizens usually get their guns illegally. And even if there was a new law that banned rights to bear arms, I’m sure criminals won’t give up their guns so easily anyways. In my opinion, I think taking away the right to bear arms is not beneficial to the citizens, we just don’t know it because we have the right to do so today.
So what should we do about this? That. I don’t know.
But what I do know is that we don’t need an automatic rifle or machine guns. All we need for protection is just a small handgun.
